SPACE o High Line - a park of New York or transformation of an old rail line into a public rest area. o A broad and comprehensive insight provided by Sandra Krastiņa into the annual design exhibition 100% Design London.
SHAPE o Shapes of the future as seen by young designers of the present or results of this year’s competition Electrolux Design Lab 2009.
TIME o The largest design and art higher education institution of Scandinavia TaiK counters the economic trouble with philosophy of sustainability. A designer from Latvia Elīna Bušmane, who currently is an MA student of TaiK, provides an insight into activity of the school during an interview with Anna Iltnere. o Young sprouts of eco design. Three opinions about the exhibition ECOdesign which will be open until 15 November in the Riga city exhibition hall Riga Art Space of the Riga Culture Agency. In the section EVERYDAY ICON Kārlis Vērpe familiarises readers with the history of a bulb.
The conclusion of a competition DESIGN FOR SAVING 2009 with a pile of submitted works. All the works submitted during the year will be evaluated in December, and results, as well as a broader information about the winner of the competition will be published in the January issue of the magazine.
