European Design Awards 2012

The European Design Awards is a comprehensive annual awards organization celebrating the best of graphic design, illustration and digital design in Europe. A joint effort by 15 communication design magazines from across the continent, the ED-Awards is a brilliant way for designers to publicise their work on an international level.

The ED-Awards boast the most qualified jury around, composed of representatives from the leading European design magazines. They are specialised design editors and critics, whose daily work is precisely to recognise and promote the best of communication design internationally. Furthermore, an observer appointed by Icograda is always present in order to ensure that all rules are followed to the letter.

Agencies and designers, who excel there, receive the widest publicity available, because the ED-Awards are based on a network of design media.

The ED-Awards are truly a pan-European competition. Last year submissions came from 29 different European countries (with the top country submitting less than 20% of the total number) and winners came from 21 countries (with the top country achieving about 25% of total prizes). The jury members themselves come from 13 different countries.

The deadline is set for 29th February, 2012.

Information about submitting works, the rules, the categories, the jury and past winners can be found on the ED-Awards website.
